ACondor LLC answers a common search, does tastytrade have automated trading, and explains how traders can request early access to its premium-selling options bot for tastytrade accounts, which is opening in small batches.

Las Cruces, United States, October 14, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Traders searching for whether tastytrade has automated trading usually get a partial answer. The broker does not ship a trading bot of its own. What it ships is an API with OAuth sign-in and a sandbox environment, and every form of automation on a tastytrade account runs through that door. ACondor LLC, the company behind the ACondor options trading software, has published a plain explanation of what exists today and opened an early access list for traders who want a purpose-built bot rather than a toolkit. The signup form is at https://acondor.com/early-access
According to the company, third-party automation for tastytrade falls into three groups. Alert relays take a signal from a charting platform and turn it into an order, which works for a trader who already has a signal and wants it executed. Code platforms and software development kits let a programmer write a strategy from scratch and run it against the API. The third group is purpose-built software that arrives with a strategy, a risk layer, and a dashboard already in it, and that is the group ACondor sits in.
ACondor sells options premium by fixed rules on tastytrade accounts. Four engines handle entries: a mechanical engine that sells iron condors when implied volatility rank is high and manages them on a 45 to 21 day cycle, an earnings engine built around the volatility crush after a report, a volatility contraction engine, and a directional engine that is off by default. A risk layer sits over all four. A VIX kill switch halts new entries for the session, scheduled halt windows cover Federal Reserve and inflation releases, an intraday halt responds to a sharp drop in the S&P 500 or a jump in the VIX, and daily and weekly loss circuit breakers stop new entries once realized losses reach a limit. Every trade is capped at a fixed dollar risk, sized to the account, and defined risk only in IRA and cash accounts. The software never holds trading capital. It authenticates with an OAuth token the account holder generates and can revoke at the broker at any time, and it never receives the tastytrade password.
Early access is opening a few traders at a time. The company's founder, Robin Lilly, has run the software on a personal tastytrade account since July 2026 and is onboarding each batch personally: hands-on setup, a direct line while the bot runs, and a pause between batches to fix what the previous batch found before the next one starts. The company describes the software as early and expects rough edges. The signup form asks for an email address and whether the applicant already has a tastytrade account. A name is optional.
Two things are needed to take part. The first is a tastytrade account, with a margin account preferred because it unlocks every structure the engines trade. IRA and cash accounts are supported, and in those the bot restricts itself to defined-risk spreads automatically. The second is an Anthropic API key. The Claude model does two jobs inside ACondor: it reads news headlines and flags any that threaten an open position, and it powers the chat panel in the dashboard, where it can read positions and change settings on request. It never sizes a trade, places an order, or overrides a risk gate. Usage runs to pennies a day and is billed by Anthropic directly, outside the subscription.
Pricing is a flat monthly subscription with no per-trade fees and no percentage of account growth. The exact number has not been published. The early access list hears it first, and alpha participants receive favorable terms. First-time subscribers can request a full refund of the first payment within 30 days, covering the subscription fee only. The subscription includes dedicated hosting for each subscriber, with a separate engine, database, and app service running against the subscriber's own account.
The company is direct about who the software is for. ACondor assumes a trader already understands short premium, assignment, buying power reduction, and the difference between defined and undefined risk, and it recommends that every new user run the software in the tastytrade sandbox first, where the full system runs against simulated orders and no real money moves. Accounts of roughly 35,000 dollars fit the default sizing; smaller accounts work with a lower per-trade cap.
ACondor is software, not investment advice. Nothing here is a guarantee of any trading result, and options trading carries substantial risk of loss.
