PrimeAlux hopes that providing buyers with measured fire, wind, and sound data before they choose a fence will help them make better purchasing decisions.
Canada, October 20, 2026 -- Canadian supplier of aluminum fence panels PrimeAlux has published lab tests for its aluminum privacy fence systems. The data provides stakeholders such as builders, homeowners, and contractors in Canada and the U.S. with more detailed information about the sound, wind, and fire performance of its products before they choose one.

Pennsylvania-based Intertek Building and Construction conducted the testing process under ASTM E84. It discovered that the PrimeAlux Privacy Slat system achieved a smoke developed index of 50 and a flame spread index of 0, placing it within Class A, the highest classification for this particular type of surface burning behavior.
The testing firm also ran a sound test under ASTM E90 on the 6-foot-by-6-foot Horizontal Privacy Plus fence. The product received a sound transmission class of 22 and an outdoor-indoor transmission class of 19, indicating that the system is able to hold back a significant amount of airborne noise. This is helpful for businesses and homeowners close to busy streets or intersections.
Wind testing was conducted by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. The organization used a pressure-test method to test PrimeAlux's aluminum fence sample in January 2026. The product passed testing up to 835 Pa with no visible damage, and no components detached up to 2,300 Pa.
A spokesperson from the company said the following:
“This testing and published data allow our customers to check how their panels stand up to various hazards they can face in the real world, such as fire and strong winds. We also provide data on noise levels, allowing homeowners and businesses to determine whether a specific type of panel product is right for them.”
PrimeAlux supplies various fence panels, including privacy and semi-privacy options, for homeowners in the Greater Toronto Area and for customers across Canada.
Privacy fence panels use foam-core slats that measure 100 by 20 mm and are fitted to 80 by 80 mm posts in various standard or custom configurations. Fence panels also come with a UV-resistant coating. Full reports and published data are available on PrimeAlux's website.
