Permanent makeup extraordinaire Brow Daddy, who goes by Ruben Kasper when he’s not teaching people how to create amazing eyebrows, is hitting New York city soon to teach a sold out class in his signature Ombré Powdered Brow permanent makeup technique at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan on August 10.

Fresh off a sold out class in Miami, Brow Daddy will be swapping the sand for the streets as he heads up the east coast to the Big Apple to continue his popular teaching series, which has seen him go up to Canada, across the Atlantic Ocean to England and will soon see him going to the other side of the world to Australia.

Brow Daddy says he has been pleased with the response to the teaching tour, as all of the classes have been sold out.

“People have been flocking to these classes,” Brow Daddy said. “They just love learning this technique, as it’s the most popular trend in eyebrows at the moment. If a permanent makeup artist doesn’t know how to do a good Ombré Powdered Brow, she risks losing out on a lot of revenue, so the classes have been filling up with people who don’t want to get left behind because they aren’t familiar with the hottest trend in brows right now. As long as these classes continue to sell out, there will be more of them. There’s so many people to teach.”

One of the big reasons his classes continue to sell out, Brow Daddy says, is that permanent makeup artists who take them get to learn the technique using the next best thing to working on a live model and that’s working on real pig skin. While other permanent makeup classes tend to use fake latex skin that doesn’t really behave like human skin, he opts for pig skin, which does have many similar qualities to human skin. For example, permanent makeup pigment behaves the same way in the porcine hide as it does in human skin, allowing students to get a feel for how deep they must penetrate with the tool.

Students appreciate this better teaching technique than learning on the fake latex skin, Brow Daddy notes.

Another big draw of the classes, he adds, is that students don’t just learn the new skill of doing the Ombré Powdered Brow technique, they also learn how to create the perfect eyebrow with Brow Daddy’s freehand eyebrow mapping technique, plus they receive their very own permanent makeup machine, which is the same one that Brow Daddy himself uses on his clients.
