Oct 26, 2026

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 26, 2026 -- On September 25, 2026, the Handover Ceremony and Mid-Autumn Gala of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce UAE was grandly held at Hilton Dubai Hotel.Leomars Liao was elected Executive President of the Council.

Ou Boqian, Chinese Consul General in Dubai, Xian Yi, Deputy Consul General, and Chan Sheung Man, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai, attended the event. Nearly 600 guests, including representatives of Chinese central enterprises stationed in the UAE, overseas Chinese associations, business elites, and Chinese expatriates in the UAE, gathered to witness the official inauguration of the General Chamber’s leadership team.

As Leomars Liao is currently in China, engaged in a series of official work including fan communications and visits to source factories for Atoshi Mall, his packed schedule prevents him from attending the ceremony in Dubai in person. He specially appointed a representative to attend the celebration, collect the election certificate on his behalf and witness this important moment together.

Tang Zhengang, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce UAE, reviewed the Chamber’s achievements over the past three years at the conference. Founded in 2023, the Chamber has actively connected Chinese business resources at home and abroad, delivered projects including the Middle East Business Hub and Enterprise Globalization Accelerator.

The new Executive President team will take full responsibility for delivering key initiatives, and oversee core tasks including member services, resource matchmaking between China and overseas markets, expansion of economic and trade exchanges, and preparations for the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention.

Ou Boqian, Chinese Consul General in Dubai, delivered an address at the event. She congratulated the Chamber on the successful leadership handover and spoke highly of its contributions over the years in uniting overseas Chinese and promoting people-to-people economic, trade and cultural exchanges between China and UAE

Being elected Executive President represents both trust and honor bestowed upon Leomars Liao by fellow overseas Chinese entrepreneurs at home and abroad, as well as a weighty responsibility. Going forward,Leomars Liao will work side by side with Tang Zhengang, President of the Chamber, and all leadership members.

The event also featured highlight sessions including the launch of the Mena C-Link China Innovation Link Platform, the release of overseas Chinese-benefiting programs, and strategic cooperation signing ceremonies. At the gala dinner, overseas Chinese business representatives from all walks of life reminisced about their hometown roots, celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival together, and explored new opportunities for China-UAE economic and trade cooperation.
