In "Finding Hope: The Road to Recovery", clinicians from Tarzana Treatment Centers, a Southern California nonprofit celebrating its 50th anniversary, illuminate a path to recovery through interviews and presentations.
Tarzana, California Sep 13, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Created with the support of the Ayeneh Foundation, the new Tarzana Treatment Centers (TTC) video series details how substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health services work in practice. Presenting a multi-dimensional lens that examines a wide array of topics, the unifying message is that hope exists for you or a loved one.
Overall, the comprehensive, evidence-based treatment services available at integrated healthcare organizations like Tarzana Treatment Centers foster a recovery model that works for people in need.
In the 12-part video series, challenges and issues about substance use disorders and mental health difficulties are examined in detail. For example, check out the inaugural episode of Finding Hope: The Road to Recovery by following the TTC's YouTube channel link.
The First Episode of Finding Hope: The Road to Recovery
The first episode of the series features Stan B. Galperson, PsyD, Director of Residential and Outpatient Programs at TTC, talking with Michael Baptist, a former TTC patient. Michael has five years of successful recovery under his belt and now works as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor.
The episode shows how the specific treatment services available at Tarzana Treatment Centers helped lead Michael from the verge of death to a positive life of ongoing recovery. Indeed, when you hear his story, it is a miracle that Michael is alive. Not only is he in long-term recovery, but Michael now gives back to people going through what he survived. His story reflects how TTC's continuum of care works to save lives.
Further episodes cover a wide range of topics, including:
And this is just the beginning. There is much more to come with such a wide range of topics. Given the value of spreading this message of recovery, TTC is grateful to work with the Ayeneh Foundation. They generously donate their time and efforts to make this series a reality.
Tarzana Treatment Centers and The Ayeneh Foundation
The Ayeneh Foundation is "a global educational media and nonprofit organization with a mission to educate and offer awareness in empowering individuals, families, and communities to enhance their physical and mental well-being through a smart lifestyle." Indeed, the three words Ayeneh embraces to describe the organization are education, prevention, and awareness.
Given what is happening nationwide, such a proactive take on helping is genuinely needed. In mid-2022, even as we see the COVID-19 pandemic start to ease and the world opens back up, the opioid epidemic still is out of control.
Today, drug overdoses exceed vehicular accidents as the number one cause of unintended death in the United States. More than ever, now is the time when efforts to help must be renewed. With Finding Hope - The Road to Recovery, TTC and the Ayeneh Foundation dedicate their joint efforts toward building a path to recovery for people and families in need.
