Black woman entrepreneur, Trezelle Morgain, is changing the lifestyle and personal home care industry with her inclusive, all-encompassing, eco-friendly approach.
Albany, NY - November 21, 2022 —

Eco Onyx Cleaning, personal home care and lifestyle support company founded by a black woman and immigrant, Trezelle Morgain, has reframed its services and created a new foundation post-Covid. The founder has ensured that the company is able to provide a high quality of eco-friendly service to marginalized, disadvantaged and disabled clients.
After over three years in business, Eco Onyx Cleaning has taken the advice and lived experiences of its clients to build an entire business geared towards creating customized services to meet their clients where they need them most. Services include personal home care, lifestyle support, concierge service and more.
Founder Trezelle Morgain is passionate about her work and is committed to helping save the planet: “We offer a range of services that can help you live a more sustainable lifestyle without sacrificing your convenience or comfort. From personal home care to concierge services, we can help you reduce your impact on the environment while still living the life you want to live. We believe that everyone has a role to play in protecting our planet, and we’re committed to helping our clients do their part.”
As a single mom, it can be difficult to find the time and energy to create a business of this scale. However, Trezelle decided that she was not going to let her circumstances stop her from living her best life. Through a combination of hard work, personal development, and creativity, this black entrepreneur has built a successful business that allows her to design her life around her goals and limitations.
This is why she makes sure to note that she doesn’t want herself or her staff to be connected to the word “maid”, due to its insensitive, demeaning and destructive history. She explains: “As a black and immigrant woman, I am all too aware of the history of the word "maid." The word conjures up images of forced servitude and subservient roles. It’s a reminder of a time when women of color were seen as nothing more than property. I refuse to be associated with that word.”
In addition to providing financial stability for herself and her family, Trezelle's business has also allowed her to give back to her community in a meaningful way. As a result, she is changing the face of entrepreneurship by showing others that it is possible to create the life of their dreams, no matter what their circumstances may be.
Trezelle’s recent ADHD diagnosis has helped her gain a new perspective on helping her disabled and senior clients: “When I was diagnosed with ADHD, it was a relief to finally understand why I had always felt different. For years, I had struggled to focus and stay on task, and I often felt like I was running on a hamster wheel. Once I started treatment for ADHD, however, I began to view it as a strength. This new perspective led me to put a special focus on providing services to disabled and senior clients. I’m dedicated to helping others who are facing challenges similar to those that I have faced, and my unique perspective gives me a special connection to my clients.”
