New York City, New York Aug 4, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - A highly-trained otolaryngologist, Dr. Harsha opened Carolina Pines ENT after 19 years of practicing elsewhere. His primary goal is to offer compassionate care to each and every one of his patients, specializing in advanced head and neck conditions and multidisciplinary thyroid disorders.

A native to Newberry County, Dr. Harsha received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Furman University in 1997. He then went on to attend the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston in 2001, after which he participated in an internship in general surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He also completed a residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, and a fellowship in head and neck cancer and reconstruction with Mayo Clinic Arizona.
The doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). The ABOHNS serves the public by assuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.
A member of the Society of Military Otolaryngologists, Dr. Harsha received the Hiram B. Curry, MD, Humanitarian Award in 2001, in addition to the Circulo Hispanoamericano Humanitarian Service Award.
In his spare time, he enjoys football (including youth football coaching), Christian apologetics, and hunting.
